The Percy Jackson and the Olympians Disney+ series continues to move ahead, and while we’ve gotten a lot of casting announcements in the last few months (including news that Walker Scobell will play Percy himself), we haven’t known who would play Percy’s dad (a.k.a. Poseidon) or the head honcho god (a.k.a. Zeus).

Until today! According to Variety, Lance Reddick (The Wire, John Wick, Resident Evil) and Toby Stephens (Lost in Space, Black Sails) will guest star on the show as Zeus and Poseidon respectively. Here are the two with Scobell looking just divine:

Stephens as Poseidon is also Percy’s dad on the show, and the official description of his character is as follows: “Although seemingly absent in Percy’s life, many of Poseidon’s qualities live in Percy; stubbornness, impulsiveness and loyalty. Though he has stayed away throughout Percy’s life, his deep feelings for his son (and Percy’s mother, Sally) are evident.”

Reddick’s Zeus is also a mercurial figure, as his own official description makes clear: “The all-powerful god of the sky and leader of Mount Olympus, Zeus is tempestuous and mistrustful. He’s promised to wage a war if his stolen thunderbolt is not returned.”

The two actors have impressive credits under their belts and will no doubt bring their godly characters to life on the show, which, of course, is an adaptation of the books by Rick Riordan. No news yet on when Percy Jackson and the Olympians will premiere on Disney+, though the series is now filming in Vancouver.
